about

Mainly Fine was a Melbourne-based ensemble that mainly jammed, occasionally recorded and thrice performed between 2003 and 2007.

Infused with elements of jazz, folk, and that other style you can't quite put your finger on, Mainly Fine's formidable sound landed them a spot on Monash University's 2004 compilation album Diyorama ('Fighting It Out') - alongside 'Baby, Let Me In' by The Basics.

This unlikely link between Mainly Fine and Wally De Backer/Gotye continues to boost the band's popularity to this day.

Mainly Fine last played together in 2007 and may one day reform as a Vic/Tas music collaboration.

Mainly Fine is comprised of Diana Greenslade (violin), Malcolm Foo (keyboard), Ailie Gallant (vocals), Stewart Allen (bass guitar), Chermelle Engel (vocals), and Andrew Marshall (vocals, guitar).
